• If you are packing yourself, arrange to have cartons delivered in plenty of time • Arrange for Gas, Water & Electricity final readings • Arrange for telephone disconnection • Finalise outstanding accounts • Start to use up frozen food • Return borrowed items • Back up the hard disk on your computer & keep in a safe place.

• Notify:  Post Office  Bank, Building Society, Credit Union  Credit Card companies  Motor registration & Licence  Electoral roll  Doctor  Schools & Club subscriptions

To help with the move please prepare:

• Bookshelves by collapsing shelving and packing support plugs • Defrost freezer and fridge & thoroughly dry out the day prior to moving

• Take down and remove bracket for tumble Dryers... • Disconnect plumbing from Dishwashers & Washing Machines & Drain water

• Check Washing Machine manufacturer’s instructions for any special transport preparation • Dismantle beds and place bed legs and or screws in a clearly marked carton. • Dismantle Kitchen & dining table legs if poss

• Check Hi-Fi stereo and electrical equipment for any special transport needs

• Disconnect cables and wires behind all electrical equipment TVs DVDs Stereos ECT.

• Put outside brooms and rakes together in easy to handle bundles • Clean grease and oil from BBQ Hotplate • Drain water from garden hoses, Plants ECT. • Empty fuel & oil from Mowers, "whipper-snippers" and clean any external oil or grease 

• Dismantle swings, trampolines etc


• Dispose of inflammables such as thinners, turps,petrol & empty Gas Bottles.
